Q. What is Cortado?
Cortado by Ten Thousand Coffees is a chatbot that enables organizations of any size to launch a turnkey networking and mentoring program by providing all employees with monthly introductions based on their goals and interests. Built on the insight that employees with diverse relationships are happier and more successful, leave it to Cortado to manage your organization's networking and mentoring program with less than 30 minutes of setup.
Q. What does “Introductions” mean? How does Ten Thousand Coffees Introduce people?Cortado uses an algorithm that considers the role, interests and goals you shared to provide you with a data-driven introduction to a new member every month.
Once you've been introduced to another member, find a time to meet-up in-person or online!
Q. How can I change my Introductions settings?
You will receive a message from Cortado via Workplace Chat a few days prior to each new Introductions cycle. When this message arrives, you can click “Update my interests” to change your interests, offerings, and role within the Introductions program.
Q. How can I share feedback?
After every introduction, Cortado will automatically check-in to ask how your coffee chat went and capture any feedback you have on your conversation or the program in general. This feedback will remain anonymous and is a great opportunity to share what you got out of your conversation, as well as feedback on the Cortado bot.
Q. What is the best way to meet with someone who’s in a different location?
Workplace chat has built in video chat and voice call functionality that makes it easy for you to meet with your colleagues in other locations.
Q. Can I pause or skip Introductions?
You will receive a message from Cortado via Workplace Chat a few days prior to each new Introductions cycle. When this message arrives, you can click “I’m not available” which will take you to a webpage where you can either opt-out of your next Introduction, or opt-out of the program entirely.
Q. What should I do if I’m matched with a colleague that I already know?
You should still meet with your introduction, even if you already know them. A coffee chat is a great way to uncover shared interests, brainstorm ideas and have a casual conversation. Check out the suggested icebreaker for your introduction for a conversation starter!
Q. How long should each coffee chat last?
It’s completely up to you, but we recommend spending 45 minutes to an hour with your introduction.
Q. Can I increase the number of introductions I receive every month?
Every employee will receive one introduction per month, however, you’re encouraged to use the ‘Browse’ feature to search for other employees who you’re interested in meeting with and inviting them for coffee.
